Take a look below for the variety of roles we offer:
Beach Lifeguards: These are the frontline volunteers who patrol the beach and ensure the safety of the public. They are trained in first aid, rescue techniques, and water safety. They also educate visitors about the potential hazards and rules of the beach. To become a beach lifeguard, you need to pass a physical fitness test and a lifeguarding course provided by Seaford Lifeguards.
Lifeguard Support: These are the volunteers who assist the beach lifeguards with their duties. They help with setting up and maintaining equipment, communicating with other agencies, and patrol alongside lifeguards. They also act as backup for the beach lifeguards in case of emergencies. To become a lifeguard support, you need to have good communication and teamwork skills.
Administration Team: These are the volunteers who handle the administrative tasks of Seaford Lifeguards. They manage the records, memberships, and correspondence. They also liaise with sponsors, donors, and partners.
Fundraising Team: These are the volunteers who organise and run fundraising events and campaigns for Seaford Lifeguards. They also seek grants and donations from various sources.
